Meet the Owner
Jared Huneycutt, Owner & Marine Corps Veteran
Semper Septic is a veteran-owned septic installation, repair, and servicing company based in Troutman, North Carolina, owned and operated by Jared Huneycutt. Semper Septic is licensed as a North Carolina On-Site Wastewater Contractor, Level 4 — the highest certification level issued in the state, covering both conventional systems and Aerobic Treatment Units (ATUs) — and carries General Liability and Workers Compensation insurance on every job.
"After graduating from East Carolina University with a degree in Construction Management, I commissioned in the Marine Corps as an Officer and became an Unmanned Aircraft Systems pilot. It was an honor to serve our country. After getting out, I knew I wanted to keep serving in a different way — providing a service to the community that's unique but necessary, and educating people on their septic needs brings me a real sense of purpose." — Jared Huneycutt
Semper Septic was built around a simple idea: septic work is personal, so the company handling it should be too. There's no call center, no dispatcher relaying messages, and no layer between you and the person doing the work. When you call, you're talking to Jared — the owner, the licensed Level 4 contractor, and the person who shows up to evaluate your property and stand behind the job.
That structure isn't an accident. It's a habit carried over from the Marine Corps, where Jared served as a Commissioned Officer and Unmanned Aircraft Systems pilot before returning home to North Carolina. The same discipline, attention to detail, and follow-through that guided his military service now guides how he runs every installation, repair, and servicing call — plan the job right, do the work right, and take ownership of the result.
Educating homeowners is part of that approach. Septic systems are easy to ignore until something goes wrong, and Jared makes a point of walking clients through what's actually happening underground — how their system works, what's failing and why, and what their options are — in plain language, without pressure toward the most expensive fix.
Based in Troutman, Semper Septic serves homeowners throughout the greater Lake Norman region — Iredell, Catawba, Lincoln, Rowan, and Cabarrus counties — handling everything from new system installation on fresh builds to system repairs and routine pump, float, and control panel servicing.
